before even watching this when I saw the title my immediate thoughts was of Bruce Lee's dragon movie about his life and how he started and low and behold there's a poster of him in this episode.

It seems to be doing alright on their bilibili streaming site, 7.0 out of 10, although they are getting a hammering on douban, 2 stars out of 5 on average lol

I saw it advertised on another site but they didnt have any episodes uploaded yet. I was actually surprised to see them already uploaded here considering how slow it is compared to other anime streaming sites.

In regard to the actual show, from what I saw it looks pretty good and the information it gave about the horse stance was interesting considering I've seen it used in other anime/donghua's as a form of punishment. As for the fighting, I'm surprised someone actually wrote that the fight scenes can barely be seen. The female MC's fight style is clean showing that she has a lot of experience compared to the male MC's style which is messy and rough around the edges that shows his still a novice.

That is one of the reasons why I don't judge an anime/donghua off of other peoples comments because some of them don't even watch it properly and write half baked reviews.

Douban is kinda toxic in my opinion, my guess is that people are giving low ratings due to the differences between the novel and donghua
And definitely, always experience it firsthand, rather than rely on other's review, people tastes are different and they watch for different reasons.
I havent read the novel yet, just finished Wanmei Shijie (Perfect World) was very disappointed in the ending so I am looking for something to cleanse my palette lol

lol, well if you pick this one up, I hope it does cleanse your palette. if you haven't looked at it yet, I think you might enjoy 'My Journey In An Alternate World', It's a short episode show but looks interesting so far.

Graphicwise if Fanren is 9/10 and BTTH is 8/10 I would say it is close to 7.0-7.5/10 Wu Shang Shen Di would be 4/10 :P
Character movements is slightly better than Wu Shang Shen Di
But the story is looks interesting so far, would have to watch more since it is establishing the mc's and the world's background

I think its funny they called it Perfect World because throughout most of the story every time the MC see's something good, he wants to steal it and its only recently his been paying/trading for the items.

I never watched finding nemo but saw the meme's for it. In regard to harem donghua's, I think they should have a new name and not harem because from what I've seen, they are more reserved compared to Japanese anime harem's.

Yong Sheng (just started to watch, has potential)
Juan Silang (mystery story, but pacing is slow, might not be for everyone)

Wanmei Shijie (Perfect World, funny donghua, though main character might annoy some, since he acts like a kid even when grown up ending was disappointing, but that is at least 5 years away

lol, still no epsiodes on LM. I saw another one last night that looked interesting but it was on youtube and had a lack of subtitles. Google translation translated it to 'king of ten thousand realms' and it was supposedly on blue ray. I'm just guessing with this but it sounded like he had a good back story in regard to how his family came to live where they were.

What's wrong with the ending of Perfect World?

I am not a big fan of unresolved endings, let's put it this way without too much spoiler, the novel and the donghua should not be called Wanmei Shijie (Perfect World) Should be called something else

On their bilibili streaming site, it is rated 7 out of 10
On douban (similar to imdb/metacritic) users have given an average of 2 stars out of 5, but from what they are writing it is mostly about the difference between the novel and donghua which is why the 2 stars

I am enjoying it, feels like a remake of a Chinese version of Karate Kid, old bonsai pruning Mr Miyagi running away from his Okinawa past is replaced a female fatale with a secret, teaching a high school loser Daniel-san kid to protect for himself and improve his self-esteem by learning a deadly martial art that can kill people (I know this is different, since Daniel doesnt learn to kill people but you get what I mean)

Time for our hero to learn from the beautiful and sexy assassin.

This is amazing !!! I normally dont watch these types because the fight scenes look real hokey and stupid -- but the visuals are nice!!! I can tell a lot of detailed work was put into this

Lesson for all young & older people getting bullied, just because you think you can't win doesn't mean you can't, but self doubt already determined your fate before the fight even started. Mental power is real and is the biggest ally or enemy, if you conquer that then you'll conquer everything else. The MC had a strong heart but his mind was weak, he gave up letting them win.

Now you might lose multiple times, that's ok, don't let it bum you out nor shatter your hope. You may not meet your expectations but at least you stood up for yourself and didn't let them insult & disrespect you beating you for free. Make them work for their bullying & beating, don't just give them free access, use your whole body, every part to protect yourself and attack (easy way to win is kicking them in the nuts 🥜 and they'll fall instantly, K.O. flawless victory aha). Standing up to your bullies can go two ways, they get angrier and it gets worst, or they get discouraged as not many people are brave & bold enough to stand up for themselves, which if it's a all bark no bite bully they'll possibly stop. But we don't rely on possibilities over here, we make sure they're no longer a threat, either mentally and/or physically, either way they'll learn not to try the wrong person, which will be you.

Your body can become a weapon, and so you have to train with it, some have God given gifts & talents for it, while others are complete novices. But that's ok, the more experience you get, the more you'll sharpen your weapon. Keep your weapon in good condition, otherwise you probably won't advance that fast, if at all. It depends on you how far you go and how proficient you are, hard work is a must, even if you're talented, don't underestimate hard work. It may be scary facing someone for the first time, facing a challenge that can hurt badly, but you'll feel better giving your all rather than letting fear and cowardice run your life. Sometimes people even respect you more for being a man/woman who won't take shii from anyone, no matter how big, tall, strong, etc. If it's a bully who can fight, well then your fist challenge has begun, make sure you strike them one good time where they remember what you did and the pain they felt!! Then work hard to increase that pain and hits, but just enough that they won't be able to hurt you, don't go overboard, people have died accidently which put people in prison for short to long sentences smh. Practice and you'll feel better too, more confident and people can tell, they can see it on you like clothes, so wear it well and good luck!!

In order to be competitive in the areas of computer technology, AI, microchips, computer software and hardware, China has invested a lot of money into these areas, as a result animation studios benefited from these investments as well which is why more and more studios are pumping out donghuas, and yes there are a lot of trashy donghuas the same goes for there are also trashy animes but Japan's anime industry have been around for a lot longer and their industry is more maturer

Also, 3D CGI in anime always takes a long while to stop getting irritating. I even took a while before I got use to the animation in Ajin, which was a great anime.

Even though it's Chinese, it shouldnt matter unless you have a problem with their language being spoken. Personally, I'm British and I cant stand listening to dubbed English voices in anime.
